Spotify slow to launch, then sluggish when running for a while

My Question or Issue

app takes about 10 secs to lauch.

after the app is running for a while, when i try to pause a song (either from home screen or from the app itself) it is so slow to respond  that it actually appears frozen, although the music continues to play.

Sometimes to play button will become grey and take several seconds to turn white again so that i can pause the music
