Spotify stops playing after 1minute

Solved!

Spotify stops playing after 1minute

Since you guys wouldn't give the other once a helpful answer I hope you'll finally take your te and listen/read this.

So for 2weeks I've had the same problem, my tracks starts playing but stops again at 1minute, and it doesn't stop in a way that it isn't synced, there just the music that stops coming an the play button is still there (as if it's playing normally).
I've tried:
Reinstalling spotify
Restarting my iPhone
Synced with my computer
Restarted my wifi/Internet
Used offline playlist (all tracks fully synced)

So where is the real problem my dear spotify crew? I've tried all of the stuff you've told me and others. Nothing helped anyone of us. I'm so furious I could probably throw my iPhone out of the window, I miss my daily music. Don't ignore this problem like I've seen some other posts getting ignored.. It's a great concept that you're having with spotify and it's just truly sad that my spotify havnt been working properly for about 2weeks.

I have exactly the same problem.  Tracks just either stop playing completely, or stop and start every minute or so.  I've tried reinstalling and switch the device off and on again.  No joy.  Latest ios and spotify app versions on an ipod touch 4.

Premium customer here, getting increasingly furious with this issue (iphones and ipad on ios latest, 24Mb net connection - at the point of closing my account.

I have read almost all the anwsers without any luck and to be honest Im getting pretty tired of this **bleep** since Im paying 99 swe kr every month for this.

Hi guys, can you try restarting your iPhones by holding the Home and Lock buttons together for 10 seconds until the screen goes black? Note: not just by holding the Lock button to power off.

To judge my musical taste, check out my last.fm.

As a previous poster wrote, many of us have already done all of the trouble-shooting steps recommended by Spotify support, including reseting the iPhone by holding the home button and the on/off switch at the same time. We are not just turning off our iPhones. Many of us have had our devices reset by Spotify, we've uninstalled/reinstalled the app, checked our WiFi (including resetting the modem and router), made sure we don't have cache-cleaining apps on our phones, made sure we aren't downloading to more than three devices, and everything else that has been suggested.

And yet, in spite of all these steps, as can be seen by the posts here, the problem continues. I've been working with Spotify support for over a week, have spent hours doing multiple resets, restarts, uninstalls/reinstalls, and the problem persists. I'm beginning to think that there is no known fix for this issue.

This is exactly the same problem as I have - and it's frustrating. I've tried all of the suggested ways to fix it without any luck ...

Partner and I are both closing our premium accounts, this is ridiculous.

Guys, I don't really have the answer for this issue, but I have the same problem. And I don't think it is spotify related (I do have premium spotify too), but I was trying to just play 8tracks, and that happened, played one minute and stopped. Then I decided to listen to spotify instead, same problem. I have an iPod touch, not sure which generation, and was trying to play it over logitech speakers....

I am having a similar problem with downloaded playlists and the radio.  I posted this in response to other messages, but I'm going to post it several places in hopes of getting a response.

I tried reinstalling the Spotify app two times. Once before deleting history and cookies on Safari and once after. (The deletion of the history and cookies was recommended on one of the solution pages.)

The problem is on my iPhone.  It might play one song from a Radio station when I have not used it for a day.  After that one song, it will not play any music from a radio station.  With a downloaded songlist, it will stop a song about 1:30 into it; I cannot restart that song but it will play the next song if I hit the "fast forward" button. The next song stops about 1:30 into it, too. I have played four songs in a row from a songlist and the same thing happens every time.

I have tried it with WiFi and 3G. I have the same problem with both. My desktop version was using the same WiFi that I had a problem with the iPhone, but it had no problems.

My iPad/iPhone model   iPhone 4S

Device’s Operating System:  6.1.3 (10B329)

Is your device jailbroken? No

Approximately how many playlists do you have?:  10 playlists.  Two are downloaded.

My mobile Spotify version:  0.6.4.2.

My provider and country: Verizon, USA

Hi, just wanted to add to the long line of disappointed users. My girlfriend's iPhone 4S have started misbehaving in the exact same way as described here. Nothing I've tried seems to make any difference (restarts etc). Hopefully someone as Spotify engineering is monitoring this forum and could give some sort of indication about what the reason might be.

Thanks.

I have the same problem, the music stops and also the time counting. But the pause button doesn't change into a play button as it does when you pause the music. If I fast forward or rewind, the music starts playing again but then stops again after a short while. It doesn't help to restart the app or the phone. I've had the Spotify app with premium account for more than 2 years and the same phone (iPhone 3Gs) and never had this problem before. It started about a week ago and I haven't done any changes or updates the last week (I have the latest update of the Spotify app) so I can't understand where the problem comes from or why it turns up now.

I have the same problems... It's just annoying. Music stops playing after some time when I'm connected to my wifi network. No problems via 3G. I monitored this problem now for a while and I could narrow the problem down:

During play back the wifi data rate drops down to 1Mbit/s and causes this problem (attachment).  Spotify works fine on my Mac.

I'm having the same issues also. It shows that the track is still playing but it just stops. Have done the same as you, restarted, reinstalled, re-everything. Please help 😞

I was having the same problem until today.  Spotify was playing for abour 1 - 2 minutes and then stopping on my ipad.  I tried on my andriod device and it worked fine.  I called apple and they instructed me to go to setting->general->reset networks.  I did and it resolved my problem.  Hope this helps.

I  am having the same problem. I have Premium which works fine on my laptop but not my iPad. The music keeps cutting out. The "solutions" Spotify offers have not worked. If so many users are having the same problem, it seems to defy logic that it isn't Spotify's fault. How can we get them to fix the problem short of cancelling our subscription? This doesn't happen with Pandora.

Solution!!!!

Turn off you mobile, completly!

Start again, with your pincode.

Open Spotify

-  IT WORKS AGAIN WITH NO STOP !!!

I'm having the same problem with my iPad. When I'm using it with my receiver the music stops after a minute or two but when I try to play through my Apple TV I just hear spurts of sound every other second. The problem is definately a Spotify issue as iTunes and stuff on my computer works well.

I've tried reinstalling but nothing seems to work

Same issue here, I get through 2-3 songs, and it stops playing.

iPhone 4, latest iOS, latest Spotify version.

(It didn't do this before the spotify ap update.)

Could you try the suggestions in this post to see if they help.
