Storage - why is Spotify using so much space?!

This is absolutely absurd, I just discovered that Spotify is using 3.7gb of space on my 16gb iPad mini, leaving me with out of storage messages! The app is only 82.9mb but for some reason is using 3.7gb, fair enough if I'd downloaded any playlists/tunes but I haven't because there's so little space on the iPad... any ideas why and how to fix this?

Somehow Spotify uses 26 gb in my phone. I had to delete a lot but still the storage doesn’t budge.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. Apologies for the delayed response, we just came across this thread.

Let us know if this issue persists once you've performed a clean reinstall on the affected device. This will let you start afresh with the latest app version and will corrupted files from previous installations. Keep in mind that you'll have to redownload your songs.
