Spotify Crashing

My Spotify keeps crashing whenever i play a particular playlist. out of my 3 playlists, 2 work, but the newest one keeps crashing. the songs start, but then the app crashes and they restart 1 minute in. i am on an iPhone 8

Hey @Jpanda, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

 

Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps.

If you're still having trouble, let me know the current iOS version installed on your iPhone 8 (you can check by going to Settings > General > About).

My iOS is 14

my ios version is 14, and i have tried reinstalling the app, remaking the playlist from scratch, and reinstalling spotify. none seem to work.

Can you send us the URI/Link to the playlist that is making your app crash?

 

Also, does this happen to any other song/podcast/playlist you've tried to play?

How do I send a URL for a playlist I made myself?

Thanks for keeping in touch.

 

You can share it by heading to the playlist and tapping on the 3 dots on the top right corner > Share > Copy link.

Thanks for sharing the playlist.

 

We've tested it on our end but couldn't replicate this, as it was played without issues.

 

Try resetting your password then logging out everywhere by following the steps in this article.

 

If that doesn't do the trick, could you try on a different device and let us know if the same happens?

 

Also, try creating a couple of new playlists and let us know if this behavior persists.

 

Lastly, let us know if this happens over WiFi, mobile data, or both.

The playlist works on my other devices, the playback issue seems to be localized to my phone

Just to confirm, did you try changing your password and logging out everywhere?

 

Remember to let us know if this happens over WiFi, mobile data, or both, and if it happens on a couple of new playlists.

 

Also, make sure that there aren't any battery optimization or cache clearing settings for Spotify on your phone.
