Track Info isn't being transmitted when using USB

Hey, everyone!

So, I've got this annoying issue I'm trying to combat because I'm particular and can't stand that it's not working properly - hoping I can get some insight here!

2016 Toyota Camry

iOS 11.2.1

Spotify version 8.4.28

When I connect my iPhone to my car and listen to music via Spotify, I get album art but no track info. I know the track info is there because if I switch to Bluetooth I get it. I want both - the album art AND the track info.
