UNABLE TO DETECT MY IPHONE ON SPOTIFY DESKTOP

Hi there,

I've had no problems syncing my local files to my iPhone until one day my mac wasn't able to detect my iPhone and I cant sync my local files anymore. I've allowed incoming connections on my firewall for spotify as well as connect it to the same wifi with my spotify app opened.

What's wrong?

Are both devices on their latest version of Spotify?
What's a Spotify Rock Star?

Only thing I can suggest at this point in time is try rebooting everything.

That includes reboot your router, reboot your Mac and reboot your phone. Also try reinstalling Spotify on both devices as a last resort.

If that doesn't work, see if you can disable your firewall temporarily to rule that out as the issue.

The devices section will be coming back in a future update.

In the meantime:

You won't be able to see an indication in the desktop client that the device is paired with the desktop client. But as long as they both are on the same WiFi network you should be able to trigger the local files sync by toggling the offline toggle on the playlist on your device. Just make sure that the local files are in a playlist of their own so that this will work.

Yep both are on the same wifi network. It syncs the songs that I added on spotify but not my local files. Are you using a mac and iPhone as well? Did you have this problem as well?
