Using Spotify music for a TikTok video

Hi Spotify Community, 

I'm having trouble using using Spotify music when I'm trying to make videos in TicTok. From reading it looks like I should be able to, but Spotify closes whenever I open TicTok. It's an iPhone 8plus and software is updated. If anyone has any suggestions for troubleshooting, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

The way iOS and Android work is to turn off audio from an app when you open up another audio app. This is to protect copyrighted content.

Spotify does not currently allow the use of their music when you are recording videos.

TikTok has a built in feature that allows you to search for music and sounds and add them to your video when creating videos. A lot of popular artists have their music available on TikTok for you to use in your videos. If the music is available on Spotify there is a good chance you can search and find it on TikTok too when creating videos.
