Viewing album information

I listen to a lot of classical music, some very esoteric. The information that Spotify lists is not very pertinent - for instance, I want composer name, movement number, etc and what I usually get is the artist name. Is there any way to change the view options or to look at the album notes that would come with a CD purchase?

Classical music tagging has been a problem from the start of the digital era unfortunately. There's no way to get more information in Spotify but you might want to check out this idea.

Well, Spotify should read this comment and do something about it - i.e. insert a facility to at least view the artists involved (orchestra, conductor,  soloist, at the very least
