My Question or Issue
Recently I’ve noticed the volume in and out of my app isn’t linking up. If I turn the volume to a certain level in the app, if I exit out and change it, when I go back to the app it will automatically change back to how it was before I left and changed it. I’ve tried turning off the devices Lock Screen thing, which did nothing, and I also tried switching a bunch of other random stuff off and on but nothing seems to change it.
Hey everyone,
Thank your for taking the time to share this information, we really appreciate it!
We'll be forwarding this to the relevant team for further investigation. In the meantime, it would be really helpful if you could also share a short video showing the behavior as we weren't able to reproduce it on our end.
Thank you for your kind assistance!
Take care,
hi Mihail,
I will try to make a video. At this moment I am not experiencing the issue, but will check again later.
I'm able to reproduce consistently. Here's a video*: https://photos.app.goo.gl/GHKJdDeQxwqThRfu5
*One thing to note is that the volume does indeed increase/decrease but the iOS screen recording app doesn't reflect that for some reason
Here is my video. I set the volume high in Spotify and then decreased it 1) from locked screen 2) from control center 3) from another app. Every time I switch back to Spotify, the volume automatically goes back to the level previously set in the app.

(As said by @Keysox the volume changes can’t be heard in the iOS recording but you can see the volume slider on the left going up by itself)
And here's my video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GuU_vhDQEIHNN_lElm6aQ1XThKfcP4A1/view?usp=sharing
As you can see Spotify immediately adjusts the volume the moment I returned to the app.
I then used the slider and lastly I used the even more sensitive volume option of the iPhone.
One other interesting thing is that it seems to happen consistently in the evening and night (hence the sleep app 😉
and not so much during the day (european time)
Hey folks!
Thank you for the provided recordings!
We've let our tech folks know about this & we'll inform you as soon as we have any new infos on the matter 🙂
Make sure your app is up to date in the meantime.
Cheers!
Hi everyone!
Our tech folks have made some changes backstage. Could you try opening and closing the app twice or trice in a row to see if the issue has been resolved?
Thanks!
Hi,
It seems ok for me ! I can’t reproduce the issue anymore
thanks
Hey @dridri1,
Thanks for letting us know!
@WendyP @Keysox @Marulistens
This should be fixed for you as well 🙂
Restart the app a few times if it isn't!
Cheers!
It does appear to be fixed. Thanks!
