@Spotify, is there an ETA on this update?
It's a bit of a deal breaker if there's no consistancy between platforms...
I've been a loyal user for several years and have organized thouseands of tracks but now there's no way to find them going from "starred" to "my music."
Please update the community with a timeline. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would rather not start using an alternative software after investing time into organizing music with our Spotify accounts.
I am a paid user and I am getting annoyed now at this lack of "my music" on ipad. I was using stars before. Then you rolled out "my music" which I will say is a superior system. So I switched to using that. Now that I am using the new system you wanted to switch me to, I can no longer see that music on my ipad. Very poorly planned. Look I know things take time, but you guys arent handling this well. You need to give users an explanation as to why this is happening and what is going on with it. Leaving people with "we are working on it" is not going to work. This is customer service 101. You guys are going to start losing paid members if you don't get this thing fixed or at least provide your community some meaningful updates. Be proactive Spotify. Or lose customers to your competitors.
For some reason, Spotify refuse to acknowledge this thread and the multitude of others requesting info on an ipad update and we have to rely on the word of the 'superusers' of the forum, which is annoying.
But...I got a reply on twitter from Spotify that said the update will be 'with you soon.'
I'm not saying I believe that, but some people on here saying there are no plans for an update kind of goes against that?
Spotify devs...if you're reading this...how about actually interacting with your userbase?!
I got the same answer in the beginning of this year.
My thinking is, Spotify waits for Apples phlablet (iPhone 6 with 5.5"). Perhaps users will no longer use two devices. 😉
looking forward to an update - its inconsistent and causing frustration when moving between devices.
why not just put your favorite songs into a playlist until the Update arrives for your music for the iPad?
It's a tad painful! My iPad has been out of action for a couple of months (childers were nice enough to destroy my charging cable and didn't get around to getting a new one til recently). Now I go to use Spotify and find all that time that I spent killing my playlists and converting them to albums was wasted as I now need to go re-create the playlists. Duuuuuuumb!
Would also be cool to get Your Music in the synching screens of the desktop app. At the mo this only does playlists too, which means even for my phone (which for some unknown reason has decided to stop synching on it's own altogether) I still can't manually sync my albums.
Questions upon questions ... Spotify is the one and only who has the answers. 😉
still waiting for the "my music" feature on the iPad. I was hoping it would appear when I updated spotify a few days ago but no... It is hard to understand why it is so difficult to implement this feature.
thanks...
Please can someone from Spotify give an ETA on when 'your music' will be available on the ipad? It is incredibly frustrating to have two different systems. If it's really that difficult can you just replicate the iphone app on ipads? Even that would be preferable!
Coz it's already a hybrid app. 😞 It would be nicer to see different apps for the iPad and iPhone. In this case you could install the iPhone version on your iPad for sho.
THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION! This is simply saying the same darn crap that Spotify has been saying for months now.
But, I am heartened by this lame response because this, combined with another of Spotify's community managers jumping on another thread about this (one Jeremyroh) and saying that if Spotify says they're working on it, they must be and we should "just be patient" means we're obviouslu getting under their skin and making enough noise to be noticed and worrisome. Keep up the pressure. Make them know they can't brush us under the rug. Tweet! Facebook! Reddit! Let the world know that #Spotifyignroesusersrequests!
DEEZER seems to be a very good alternative.
