We actually stopped trusting Spotify because of their total lack of reply (even acknoledge) on that particular ridiculous point.
There must be reasons but at least say something to your paying user base.
I stopped my premium subscription this morning not because the I still can't use my ipad the way I used my iphone but because you ignore your users.
I tried DEEZER, too. Same **bleep** there. iPhone app looks very great (more features) but the iPad app looks ugly.

i have been a member of deezer for 4-5 months. it works very well.
of course i don't get it why spotify members just cancel their subscription...spotify is like a douchebag. 🙂

Well, we've got a pretty good idea of what goes on behind the scenes: A whole lot of conversation and development for the iphone and the app in Ford cars. C'mon man. I know they pay you in junkets to Norway to go to the home office and I am sure other stuff, but you can't possibly expect us to believe you at this point, right? Spotify has effectively ignored us for months. This thread has more comments on it than any other thread in this forum and I get kudos and replies every day (since April) from people frustrated to no end by Spotify's lack of caring enough to simply explain the problem. This is no longer about the feature (though, make no mistake, we all want it!), this is about Spotify not caring enough about its PAYING CUSTOMERS to honestly communicate about what the hold up is. You may have had a good idea for music streaming and you may have been the first in the US market with it, but the shine is going to wear off pretty soon if the company keeps treating its paying customers like that. If there's a lot of conversation going on "behind the scenes," as you say, take that behind the scenes and talk about it. Tell your bosses that the angry ipad users leaving the rpremium service may not have been enough to break Spotify's bank, but if this is how you treat paying customers, the next time Spotify has an epic fail on this level (and you will, and worse), you'd better be ready to communicate to the actual people who pay the actual bills.
No worries on the kudos in my inbox. I appreciate knowing others agree with me and knowing that Spotify sees how many people agree!

The lack of any real communication from Spotify on this matter is sad and precisely
a huge reason why some companies end up failing. .
How difficult can this be ?? I see ios app developers take care of this within a month.
My new albums are now intermixed in playlists and albums .It is a complete mess and
it has made it very difficult to find stuff ive saved .
I storngly suggest to let know Spotify that if this issue is not fixed within a month much subscribers will cancel their accounts and go to another service.
It's even more insane that the web player is also blocked on the iPad. I tried on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox and all three are blocked when going to play.spotify.com.
Ridiculous.
They should just borrow from Rhapsody's iPad app. It work just the way you would want with easy access to your saved library. I am trying Spotify because of the higher bit rate it offers. So far, I don't find it very user friendly. If they fix this soon, I'll stay.

If you're interested, Spotify has taken its lying to a whole new level with "rockstar" @hpguru in this thread claiming that he has seen this exact feature in an ipad app but that he is not "authorized" to tell us when it is coming. All he claims is that it will be.....wait for it......soon.
This problem is way past rediculous at the moment. I'm at the point where i'd rather have them drop ipad support altogether, so i can run the iphone version on my ipad.
So 1.8.0 just released, still nothing...
Fortunately no "made up" bugfixes in the release note, they annoyed the hell out of me knowing there is an enormous bug which isnt fixed, even after dozens of other updates.
I think we can safely speak of a bug now, this is no longer a feature request.
