Why do my local files sometimes not have artwork on my phone?

When my local files sync to my iphone, oftentimes, the artwork does not transfer over with the songs. Does anyone know why this is happening and/or a fix? It is beyond frustrating. Thanks.

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

Could you let us know what file format your songs are in? 

Currently, Spotify will display the album covers for files that are in .mp3 format. If you downloaded your tracks in .flac or .wav, the app will play them, but it won't display the artwork as it's unable to pull up this information from the file's metadata.

If your .mp3 files are missing an album art, try a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps here. In case the issue persists, try editing the song's metadata and set the artwork manually.
