adding song to playlist from Daily Mix will disable pause button

playing music to my Sonos Play5 stereo pair

Problem

from Daily Mix, when i add a song to a playlist (whether from the ... button or the toaster button when i heart the song), i can successfully add the song, but when it returns to the play screen, the Play/Pause button is greyed out, disabled.  when i try pausing from the music controls on the iPhone control panel, nothing happens. the play/pause button returns to life when the next track starts to play.
