devices not connecting for local files

Hi, I am currently running an Cisco 1841 integrated router and am having trouble syncing my local files. I have looked through a lot of different options and found it is likely related to the ports not being properly opened. I am curious what ports need to be opened so that my laptop can sync local files with my iphone and iPad.
