iOS 11 lock screen

After updating to ios11 I no longer can use my headphones to skip songs and Spotify no longer appears on the lock screen on my phone. It’s infuriating that I now have to unlock my phone every time I want to skip a song or pause or anything else. I’m definitely not switching to Apple Music. But this change is unbelievably annoying - what can I do? It’s  bad enough at work having to unlock my phone all the time but what am I meant to do when running etc and can’t look at my phone all the time?

Actually can’t even control the volume unless the phone is unlocked.

I am having these exact same issues. I had the volume control issue too but that somehow randomly started working again. I can't control any music from my watch either (volume/play/pause).

I've had iOS 11 for over a week now, but these issues just started on Monday (10/02/2017).

Same for all of the above. I’m hoping Spotify just has to debug the app to work with the new update, so maybe wait a bit longer for one.
