[iOS 14.7, iPhone 12 Pro Max] music keeps pausing randomly

I am having the issue on iPhone 12 Pro Max iOS 14.7 that music playback stops randomly, have to press play on the phone each time this happens. 
I am using Sony WH-1000XM4 and I am on the Spotify version 8.6.46.1081.

The problem occurs randomly with intervals ranging from 5-30 mins. 

I am using Spotify Premium.

I have tried the steps described here but the problem still persists:

Support told me to just log out, then uninstall app, restart the phone and then reinstall app and log back in, which so far has worked. No more random pauses in the last hour. If anything happens again, I'll report back. Hopefully this will help someone else with their issue as well.
