iOS 7 won't resume playback from the control centre

If i open an app that pauses spotify, like youtube, or Music or something, or even if I just unplug my headphones sometimes, then I can't resume playback from the control centre.

This is really annoying because spotify also now takes a minute or so to load up and find the track I was playing (which is usually the first track I played, several hours ago), so there is no way to quickly turn on my music again after I pause it!

Also, if I bring up the control centre from the lock screen, none of the controls work for spotify, so I can't even skip/ pause playback when spotify is already playing!

Is there an update coming to fix this stuff?
