iPad Spotify crashes when I play a song and minimize the app

I recently updated my ipad to 16.4.1. If I play a song on Spotify, and close the app to keep the song playing in the background, the song ki dal sputters out and the app crashes. I have tried a clean reinstall and same thing keeps happening.

As a first step, can you please check if you've enabled Background App Refresh in your iPad's settings? If yes and the issue persists, check if the same thing happens when using a different internet connection (preferably by a different provider).
