iPhone app takes minutes to start up then sometimes crashes

Just updated app today in the hope it might become more reliable but now it's worse.

I have iOS 5 on iPhone 4

When Spotify starts, it shows an old collection of playlists and won't respond for minutes. Then if I'm lucky it shows my real current list of playlists and starts working. If not (like this morning since updating app), it crashes.

I have Spotify premium and I have a LOT of playlists (I use them like a CD collection)

Please help. This app has always been bad but now I can't use it at all
