why can I use my spotify acct on my ipad but not my computer?

I have it installed on my ipad, but I can't load it on my computer, as it says I already have an account.  Yes, I know that Spotify, that's why I want to log in from my computer.  Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

Have you downloaded the desktop client from here and installed it? 

Once that is done you should be presented with a log in window, all you need to do is enter your details and it will allow you to use the service 😉
