iPod 4th Generation not appearing under devices tab!

It is running iOS 6.0.1 and it isn't appearing under devices. The cable works fine, and I have just downloaded Spotify so it can't be that... Please help!

Hi,

Firstly, seeing as your iPod is compatible with an iOS update, it would be good if you can update your iPod to iOS 6.1.3. Also check your spotify (both on your iPod and Computer) is up to date.

I had this problem a while back, and I found the problem lay in the fact that my Kaspersky internet security firewall was blocking the 2 from connecting, so when I paused the protection which also disabled the firewall temprarily, they connected fine. Also make sure spotify on your phone is in the foreground and not in offline mode.
