ios missing spotify search feature

iphone 7 - ios 11.4.1 - Spotify Version 8.4.67

Hi my name is Cody, I have been a spotify premium user for several months now and I’m the only person I know who doesn’t have the new spotify search feature. When I go to settings/privacy/microphone, spotify isn’t even listed as a candidate. I already  reinstalled the app, logged out and back in and performed a soft reset on my phone... Is there a reason why this feature just doesn’t exist for me?

Hope you're doing great!

To summon up that feature you'd need to press and hold the Search icon in the bottom bar.

However, that feature isn't available to everyone yet. Spotify is testing it with some users right now. One of my friends has it and I was able to test it 🙂
