ipod touch loads Spotify but won't play music

My Question or Issue

I want to use this ipod for spotify only. I deleted everything else on the ipod. It is fully updated. Spotify will open, load playlists, will retrieve a song to play but will not play the song. It says it is playing but the time does not start.

I'm sorry to hear about this.

It seems like you're running an iPod Touch 4th generation on iOS 6.1.6. Spotify no longer supports that iPod or iOS version, which is why this may be happening. There is some more info on the system requirements here.

The best thing to try is a clean reinstall of the app. If that doesn't help, then Spotify can't guarantee full support of the app on this device.
