Since a few days login on iOS 10.3.4 is not working. Uninstall, reinstall Spotify, reset password and restart phone didn't solve the problem.

The Spotify app needs to meet some minimum requirements to work at its full potential. Actually, the supported versions of iOS are from 13 and above. You can see the supported devices in this article.
If possible, try to update the iOS of your device to a more recent one. If it is not possible, we'd recommend using the Web Player instead of the app. However, it's possible that the playback may present issues if the iOS is not up to date as well.

The same situation here and a bit frustrated. I am using my Iphone 5 solely for music and recently Spotify is not working anymore. I hope you will return the support for lower IOS version.
Also same problem. Using with ipad 10.3 version and login doesn’t work. Ipad is used only occasionally with mixing console and I don’t plan to buy a new ipad for this reason. In this case, apple music premium is working, which Im not premiem user but probably i will have to be one and leave spotify.

I had the same problem with my iPad 4 (iOS 10.3.4) and tried everything I found on the internet but nothing works.
But finally I found a solution. I took my old ipad 2 (iOS9.3.6), installed spotify because there is no login error. Made an icloud backup and restored it on the iPad 4.
Now spotify also runs on the ipad 4.
