My Question or Issue
On ios app as well as during carplay, when going from one podcast episode to the next one in the queue (either by pressing next or just due to auto play of next episode in queue) a glitch occurs starting the episode halfway. Specifically happens consistently everytime on “The rest is history” . When a new episode starts, it skips exactly on the halfway point in the podcast (right after the in podcast ad break). Those episodes have not been listened to previously.

Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps. These steps are more thorough than the simple reinstall and can solve common issues.

Hi, did you find a solution to this? I'm having the same problem with The Rest is History. I've restarted my phone and reinstalled Spotify, but it hasn't fixed the problem

Sorry to hear about that. Can you let me know at what time exactly does this glitch happen? Also, can you send me a screen recording (with sound if possible) of this happening in action? It will also be good to let me know the make and model of the device this is happening on and I’ll take a closer look.

I'm having this same issue with Rest is History. So strange! Doesn't happen with any other podcast.

I’ve attached a screen recording of the issue - the video was too long with all ads in the middle of episodes, so I've had to cut them out, but I wanted to show what happens when episode auto plays from previous episode.
I’ve clean deleted Spotify as per instructions and restarted my phone, but the issue persists. I’ve only ever had this problem with The Rest is History podcast.
I’m on iOS 18.6 on iPhone 16 pro.

Apologies for the late reply. @CindyV, huge thanks for the video you've provided.
We've checked on our end on both Android and iOS but couldn't reproduce the issue, so would it be possible to test this on another device (preferably a different platform like PC) with the same account or on the same device using a different account? This way we'll narrow down the possible cause.
Furthermore, we'll need the Spotify app version of the affected devices so we can report the issue to our tech team.
