Technical Issue: Downloaded Music won‘t play without Internet Connection

Hey Everyone!   

I‘ve had this problem for some time and now it‘s really annoying me. I pay for a Premium but playing my downloaded music without internet connection often doesn‘t work.  An album seems to be downloaded, but when I open up the app a few days later, it won‘t play the music, I can’t click on it and it says I should try again with connection. Welllll, I downloaded it to be able to listen to my music in the outback, so unfortunately no Spotify, I cannot try again with connection…  Most of the time the problem occurs with albums. Not with podcasts and only sometimes with playlists.  I put on the offline-listening-mode; didn‘t change anything.  Would I need to delete the app and all of my downloads?  In general the app is sooo slow on my phone for months now, I‘ve already deleted a lot of downloads. Mansss, just let me listen to all of my music, anywhere, anytime.    Would so appreciate some help!    I have an Iphone11 with the iOS18.1 and the Premium Family Plan.

That's strange, I tried this on my end and I am able to play all offline content as expected. Could you try a clean-install of the Spotify app? You can use the instructions given here and let me know how it goes.

Feel free to add a screen recording in your response as well, that will help me take a closer look at the issue. 🙂

Its self explanatory. I pay to download music and podcasts and audio books so why, when they are downloaded, does the playback often not start.

I imagine a licence is being checked on some server somewhere although this is far too harsh. The downloads fail almost immediately when disconnected.
