share a song to a follower that isnt a facebook friend

Folks this is just ridiculous at this point.

I have been a spotify user for 4 years now. And I still cant share music or connect socially with ppl i'm following or ppl that are following that are not my friends on fb.

Flow

1/ discover cool playlist via search (search for a song or something)

2/ follow the user

3/ find a song i think the user would like based on playlist

4/ click share > sent to > type users name

5/ user doesnt show up. Stuck. Cant send message to user.

6/ close window in frustration.

Expected behavior

User shows up in autocomplete. Tap on user. Tap send.

A new message thread shows up in my inbox for further conversation.

I will bet good money this is hurting your engagement, retention and referral metrics.

Its been too long. come on folks. fix. this.
