shared songs — can’t open Spotify with the link in the text

Every time someone shares a Spotify song with me via text and I click to open it — it takes me online to open.spotify.com and then when I click “play in Spotify” it takes me to the App Store. And then when I press “open” on Spotify in the App Store, it doesn’t take me to the song from the text. It just opens Spotify in general. This is so annoying because my friends and I always share songs. And this started happening after I updated my Spotify — Help!?
