spotify stops playing after 1 or 2 song and closes the app

I have a ipod 2nd generation and since 4 days spotify stops playing after 1 or 2 songs and the app closes totally

I re-installed the app but that didn't work

this is the app spotify for ios 4

what can I do to solve this, I can't upgrade my ipod software as there is no newer available

Hi. When you reinstalled, did you follow these steps, including clearing Safar's cache? If not, could you try one more time.

1. Go to your device’s Settings
2. Scroll down until you get to Safari, select that
3. Select clear history and proceed to clear.
4. Select clear cookies and data (beneath clear history) and then proceed to clear.
5. Now you can perform a clean installation of the new app following these instructions:
6. Delete the Spotify application from your iPhone/iPod.
7. To do this, press and hold the application until it hovers and then press the X symbol
8. Restart your iPod/iPhone
9. Install Spotify again from the App Store
