waiting to download

ive downloaded spotify and signed up to a premium student account. i am trying to upload my own songs from my PC and i also have added some songs into the playlist from spotify. the ones i added from spotify are there ready to listen to. but my own local file uploads just keep saying waiting to download. im getting slightly annoyed becoz i came from apple music.. i cant listen to any of my music. ive reset the phone the app uninstalled it reinstalled it went on cellular data wifi everything new playlist all the tricks.. still waiting to download but it wont download. i have 425 songs in total in my playlist.. please help.. someone..
