I am using a Samsung Galaxy S20, Android 11, and the most recent version of Spotify in the play store: 8.6.24.918 (new as of May 3, 2021).
I typically close Spotify completely when I am not using it to save battery. However, I have noticed recently that Spotify is popping up at the top of my list of notifications randomly throughout the day, showing recently played songs. However, when I use the three bars at the bottom left of the screen to see all the apps that are currently open, it does not show up as being open.
I've gone through all the in-app settings, the app settings native to android, and I cannot find anything that suggests it will stop this from happening. I do not want this to pop up and I have no idea how to stop it. Any ideas?
Thanks!!
