My daughter is an indie rock/indir pop/indie folk artist. We recently learned that a 3rd party site that generates its data from Spotify's API had her listed as rap/hip hop and the top countries did not match what we know to be true and what is on her Spotify profile and in her spotify for artists. I have spent more than 12 hours in the Spotify for artists support portal trying to get this resolved and going around and around in circles with the AI bots claiming they are real people and abruptly closing the chat over and over again. They deny there is an issue when there clearly is something going on. One very helpful real person I spoke to early on confirmed that it said rap on the API and looked at the last few releases metadata (which was also inaccurate, it had only "rock" listed) and agreed something was amiss but then they disappeared and a new, unhelpful person took over. She has a lot of showcase and festival applications coming up as well as a new release and she is now an indie artist. Help!!!
