** Spotify gave my account away to a big brand! **

I have tried emailing Spotify support without getting a reply so I will try the forum again.

Apparently a world famous brand wanted my username that I've had since Spotify came out as a Beta in Sweden in 2006.


Without confirming with me Spotify deleted my premium account (which I still pay for on a monthly basis) and just gave it away.
I have recieved no explanation or compensation whatsoever for this.

If it was a domain name like **famousbrand.com** I would understand but this is a username. Nowhere in the user agreement terms does it say that 3rd party companies can claim your username and you have to give it up just like that. 

Is this honestly how Spotify treats their long loyal customers? 

Would be very happy if someone could give me an input on this matter.

They have not replied to my email asking why this was done without my approval. Non-commercial use of a username does not breach spotifys user agreement policy.

I still haven't recieved any email from Spotify in regards of this matter.

Can anyone please tell me where in the user agreement it says that Spotify has the right to give away your paid account free to 3rd parties?

I find this kind of behavior utterly disrespectful against paying and loyal members.
