Hi, I received an email saying that the account email had been changed and I imediately freaked out as this wasnt me and I have had a couple of recent account Hijacks, I quickly went to try and access my account to which I found I couldnt log in with my usual credientials. I am also unable to do a forgot my password to recover the password as the email currently associated with the account was changed by the hijacker from my email to theres. I am unable to access my account or use spotify on any of my devices to use music which is extremely frustrating especially as my account is a premium account within a family. Ive messaged support 3 times now accross the last 24 or so hours and have had no response which is extremely frustrating.
I have all the neccesary transaction and payment information ready to be shown to the support team.
Can someone point me in the right direction to get this sorted out as quick as possible, Cheers
How did you contact support? Did you use another account to do so via the contact form? Also, in cases like this it can take up to 48 hours for a reply as it takes more time to track down and deal with this issue. Emailing more than once might slow this process down because of the multiple open cases.
Make sure you are logged out of any Spotify account when using the contact form or the username and email field will not show up. It is important so that you can enter the information of the account you are having trouble with and enter a preffered contact email. If you are logged in with a different account that is not having the problem, that account info will be used and support will be confused.
If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.
Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
