Artist account is linked to the wrong personal account.

Artist account is linked to the wrong personal account.

I have been emailing artist support for Spotify and after 6 times mailing them they still don't understand my problem. After the 6th time they even just stopped responding and I feel they gave up. I issued a new ticket after but still don't got a response on that one either (more than 1 week)

The situation:
My Artist account is called Alex H. So far so good, you can even have multiple artist with that name so there is no problem there. However the personal account for alexh is taken, and not by me. This account is also inactive since couple of years. Again not really a problem I can link my artist account to another account for example my personal account called: alexhmusic.

The problem:
Spotify linked Alex H artist account with login of alexhmusic, but didn't linked it through spotify itself. So if you go to my Alex H artist account, it will be linked to personal account: Alex H, which I don't have acces too nor can't control. This inactive account has 1800 linked followers which should be linked with alexhmusic. I also can't link the good playlists and people can't go to my discography through alexhmusic.

The solution:
Give my acces to the personal account of alex h (cause the account is inactive anyways). Or link it to the good account: Alexhmusic.

Spotify for artists helpdesk didn't help me and this is a problem that is ongoing for months now. I really hope I can reach someone who can help me with this.

Hey @alexhmusic!

It's not cool that this happens. Just to confirm, did you get in contact with the Artists team here?

If nothing is working yet, the support team could give you some guidance. You can reach them on Facebook or Twitter at @SpotifyCares or via email here.

Let us know how it goes.

Yeah I did.

They also responded. But they just gave up after not understanding the problem.

I get answers like this:

''Hey again Alex,

Thanks for clearing that up!

If we're understanding you now, the issue is that your music is on another Alex H's page, or that their music is on your page. Is that correct?

If it is, don't worry. We'll get this sorted for you. Could you confirm for us a full list of releases that belong to you? This includes any releases you're a featured artist on. You can do this by firing over the URIs.

To get the Spotify URI:

  1. Open the Spotify desktop app.
  2. Head to the track / album that belongs to you.
  3. Click the three dots icon and select Share.
  4. Click URI. The code is copied to your clipboard.

We're looking forward to hearing back from you.''

After getting 3/4 emails like this with not understanding the problem they just gave up. Already send a new email 2 times through your link which they both didn't respond to.
