Artist name did not carry over from DistroKid

Hi, I recently released an album via DistroKid Band name: "NIGHT" Album name: "Bold" and just received a link confirming that it went live on Spotify. When I went to the link  I noticed that the name had been changed to "Night." which is a different artist. Now my album is under this other artist’s profile. I recently had this same issue and so immediately pulled the album offline to figure out what went wrong. Apparently DistroKid had something wrong on their end. This time I believe it may be on Spotify’s end? 

I would like to see if we could get my artist name(on Spotify) changed from "Night." to "NIGHT" (All caps and no period".

I noticed that there are quite a few other bands who have all capitol names, so I hope we can get this changed soon.

Apple Music/iTunes did the same thing and they changed it for me after I Asked them too. https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/bold/id1210258242?app=itunes&ign-mpt=uo%3D4

I am having the same issue with my artist name its spelled Candlight on spotify but its supossed to be CANDLIGHT, I wasnt sure who to reach out to for the change, If any help can be offered it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Melody, I've had the same problem. My band name is Bearmace all one word and not Bear Mace. When uploading through Distrokid, they spelled it correctly on other platforms but for some reason on Spotify it is showing as Bear Mace and is being lumped in with another artist that is not us. The EP, Traveler, is ours while everything else is not.

Uploaded my single distrokid with the artist name “J3.XY”, yet during the transition it has been changed to “J3.Xy”.

Hey there,

So glad to find this post. We recently released an album through DistroKid and came across the same issue. Our artist name is SHRUBRAVO* (all caps with asterisk) -not Shrubravo. We tried to re-upload the album with all caps in DistroKid but it still isn't changing. Amazon recently changed it and we're waiting on Apple Music.

Same here. I now have two albums in spotify; one under the artis name J. Hunter and one under J.hunter. I used the same artist in Distrikid...

Our band SUCH LUCK has the same issue and it appears as Such Luck on Spotify now. Can you please change it to all caps *SUCH LUCK* (ignore the stars)?
