Attempting to upgrade to premium issues

I just attempted to upgrade to premium.

 

Problem 1:  It asks to Login using my facebook to confirm my purchase and sends me to a facebook page... asks for the password. 

  • I type password and push the continue button
  • it kicks me right back to the previous screen and tells me to do what I just did.
  • It will not advance past this screen

Problem 2:  I wish to purchase a 12 month subscription and cannot find a place to do that.  I'm hoping this happens after I confirm my purchase which currently... I am unable to do.

So i made a ticket with Spotify's support team last night and I recieved this email this morning saying "To solve this, I've removed your payment details so it will act as if you're entering your details for the first time and this should work." Logged into spotify and was able to purchase my Premium account with no problems.

Have you tried a different browser at all? 

Sometimes it can be a bit picky! Also, if you have two step logins on Facebook you might need to turn that off temporarily!

I was using Chrome. Tried it in IE... same problem.  >_<

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. I've tried Firefox and Internet Explorer, neither work.

I tried subcribing to spotify premium and once it gets tot the confirm stage and has me reenter my facebook password thats as far as it goes.. i enter the password and it takes me back to the confirm page.  Why can't i sign up? 

I'm having the same issue, too! Very frustrating.

I'm having the same problem. Tried logging in and out of Facebook, in and out of Spotify, and so forth. Not happy! 

Same problem so I made a new account... And somehow that account linked to my facebook.  I got the premium but lost all my playlists and cannot figure out how to get my old account back now... This is really irritating me.

Also have this issue.

Tried different browsers, different computers, deleting cookies etc. Doesnt work on mobile either. Very frustrated.

I've been trying for 40 minutes. Spotify REALLY should have phone support for such things.

same here. tried both safari and chrome. so annoying!

Hi, I am trying to renew my Premium subscription but every time I go to upgrade premium it asks me to verify through facebook so when I put in my email and password it just brings me back to the same page that asks to verify through facebook...

Hi guys, just to let you know we're looking into this issue. 

 

It seems to be affecting both upgrading and unsubscribing so if your subscription is about to renew and you wanted to cancel before then, get in touch with our support team. If you're looking to upgrade, support won't be able to do that for you, sorry. Hopefully things'll be working again soon.

When I go to 'Confirm Purchase' it takes me to facebook to type in my password, and when I do, it simply takes me back to the same page where i click confirm purchase again. Infinite loop!

@laurenceg1993 - I've just moved your other topic into this one to keep things tidy. Hopefully we'll have a fix for this soon.

Both, Adam. I've tried on my home PC using chrome and firefox, my work computer using chrome and Safari and my Android mobile device using chrome, they all display the same behavior

Okay, no worries. Subscribing from a phone is sketchy at the best of times so we wanted to make sure everyone is trying from desktop. Sit tight and we'll let you know as soon as we have an update.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Tried using IE 10 and Chrome from a Win8 desktop.
