Billed for Premium account, but not showing as Premium

Billed for Premium account, but not showing as Premium

 

Hi,

 

I signed up for the free trial then converted to Premium when it ended. I was billed at the end of August, but neither my Mac desktop app nor my Android phone app shows me as a Premium subscriber. I have followed all the suggested troubleshooting tips to no avail. At this point, I couldn't even cancel my membership if I wanted to, and if this can't be resolved I will. I don't like paying the monthly fee and still hearing advertisements or having them pop up. The account is under this username.

The problem being if neither the Android app, webpage, nor desktop app
shows me as subscribed, I can't cancel.

If Spotify can't see its way clearer to provide better support, I'll simply
start the process with my bank for a charge back.

Thanks for posting that, but I went to that one first and did everything
mentioned that was applicable to me. None of it worked, which is why I'm
here with the faint hope an actual Spotify employee might assist me, as
there are no other means of contacting support short of tagging Spotify in
a tweet.

Hmm, seems like you might be paying for another account. Maybe you can check your email addresses for emails from "hello@spotify.com" so you can see which email addresses you used to sing up for Spotify.

Jose, I really appreciate all your help, l made sure I'm in the correct
account. When I said I tried all available methods before I came here, I
was serious. Based on the number of similar complaints here, Spotify does
indeed have a payment and billing issue when converting from a Trial to
Premium account. I've worked with hosted applications that integrated
payment before, and I know a bug when I see it.

Next stop will be Twitter and then my bank.

In this case, I’d recommend reaching out to Spotify for more help with this. Just fill out the online contact form to create a ticket with support. If you would prefer not to send an email, you can reach them on twitter at @SpotifyCares (as you said), or on Facebook by sending a message to the Spotify Cares Facebook page.
