Can't Change my Country in Settings

Can't Change my Country in Settings

Hey everyone! 

I try to log in to my Spotify account via Facebook because it won't let me log in with the username and password attached to it. It tells me to log in I need to change my country in Settings. I click the link and it brings me to my Account Overview. I click the Edit Profile button and it brings me to the Edit Profile page where I CAN'T MAKE ANY CHANGES!!! I tried changing things EVERYWHERE and can't find an answer. The recommendations were to do what I did and there was supposed to be a page where I could edit all of my information. 

 

Anyone know how to fix this?!

same problem here, i wasnt even using proxxy when i signed up

i wanna buy premium but this is being an obstruction

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.

 

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

I have the exact same problem. My profile looks exactly like that when I tried to edit it. I tried emailing spotify a bunch of times and they just keep sending my automated messages with info I've already tried. Is there anyone who has a solution to this problem?

I have the exact same problem. I tried doing this and no one has answered back (I've sent three of these emails at this stage). Is there any solution? I've moved a couple of times between the US and Ireland, and I've never had trouble changing the country on my profile until now. When I click to edit my profile, the page looks exactly the same as above.

Same situation here. The worst thing is that I've tried to contact spotify several times, and indeed, they have the wort tech support I have ever seen..., and I have seen pretty bad ones. COnclusion, I have stopped using spotify. I even try to erase my account to open a new one (losing all my playlist!!), but good luck trying that... 

I solved my problem, you can choose a country when you wanna choose a payment method, after first payment Spotify changes country settings according to that payment, this of course works if you wanna go premium

I have a similar problem: I am currently out of my home country, and my brother wants to add me to a family plan. I tried to sign up via the invite I received in my email, but it won't let me because my profile has another country (I had changed it on Spotify Free since it doesn't let you listen abroad. It won't let me change my country in my settings now, and I don't know how to fix it as apparently the only way for me to be on the family premium plan is through the invite.

You fix it through going the process of upgrade to premium and you probably
don't need to go through it. Click upgrade and change the method of
payment. Beneath the different options, there is in small letters, a change
the country settings. There you can do it. I wanted to upgrade so I went
all the way.

I actually got it fixed now. I talked to technical support via a live chat,
and they said that someone in my home country had to go in and fix my
account settings. Thanks.

I tried the same as you (do the first payment and change my country) but I couldn't.

The page mentions an error on it, i don't know what to do 😞
