Can't change country

Hi,

 

Recently I changed my country, everything was going ok. But last weekend spotify didn't let me log in because it said I was in another country. The suggested solution seemed simple, change the country back, but, now I can't change it back because there is no option to do so. Could someone please let me know how can I change it if it isn't in my account settings menu... 🙂

Hi and welcome to the Spotify Community! 🙂

 

May I ask why you changes your country in the first place? Also, please check which country you are "in" using this site: http://aruljohn.com/details.php - Spotify blocks the possibility to change your country 14 days after you use a IP-address that's not from the country stated in your account. 

 

This means if your Spotify-account country is Germany and now you are in Denmark, 14 days after Spotify registred your danish IP-addres the country-selection will be blocked. So, you'll need to have an IP-address that seems to be from the country in your Spotify-profile to be able to change your country again.

 

Please try this first: https://support.spotify.com/learn-more/faq/#!/article/How-can-I-change-my-country-setting/?in=search

If this does not help, contact Spotify-support through this form: https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/contact-spotify-anonymous/

-When you get an automated reply, answer to that ASAP (even if it's from a no-reply address) and a Spotify-member will help you to change your country. 🙂

I changed because I hate the commercials in my country, they have a really loud party music (reggeaton) and I'd rather listen to other country's ads.
I've already contacted support, but I didn't know about the 14 days thing. So thanks
