My Question or Issue

Way back 2019, my girlfriend flew to Canada. Before she flew to Canada, She's already using my account as we are living on the same house. I removed her from the plan member 3 weeks ago  and when she access the link. She's having issue due to different region. Is there a way that I could add her back to my plan member?

Hey @Vino06,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

If your girlfriend does not live on the same address as you, there is no way to add her to the Family/Duo plan, but she can get her own Premium Individual subscription.

Hope this clears things a bit,

Cheers!

Hi,

Good Day!

My fiancé just got back here in the Philippines last December 8, 2022 from Canada. She has her individual Premium subscription plan.  She’ll be staying here for months until the wedding. I canceled her plan and it will be cancel on December 22, 2022. I sent him the invite and she tried accessing it. But it says that she needs to be on the same address. Is this error related to her premium plan since it is not yet canceled? Can she try again later once her premium got canceled (once she use Spotify free)

Thank you!

Hey @Vino06,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

You're right, the error message is usually due to a different country registered on the account you're inviting. Since the other account is still on Premium, it has the previous country registered. Keep in mind that one of the requirements is living on the same address, if one of the accounts has a different country, it will show that error message.

But there's nothing to worry about. As soon as the previous plan gets totally canceled and the account goes back to free, she can change the country by following the steps of "Don't have Premium?" mentioned in this article. After that, she'll have no issue joining the new plan 🙂

Hope this helps. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to ask.
