Cannot connect with Spotify

I don't know if it's technically Spotify Desktop I have or what. I have whatever you launch from a shortcut on my desktop. Anyway, I haven't used Spotify in a while and tried to login about 10 minutes ago. I usually connect using Facebook. I clicked Login with Facebook. The button I clicked changed colors momentarily to indicate I had clicked it, but nothing happened. I tried this a few more times. I tried refreshing Spotify, still nothing. I then tried to just enter username and password, which I couldn't remember. I clicked on Reset Password. Once again, it changed colors to signify that I had clicked it, but absolutely nothing happened. I came to this site to find answers, to which I found none. I did see a link to click to change my password, but that turned out to be a link that didn't work. Is it possible to use Spotify right now? Is the new version of Spotify simply broken?
