Hi there,
Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out!
You should be able to do that from your account page. Could you try it in an incognito window or with another device? If you're using a VPN, make sure to disable it first.
Cheers!

Hello,
I'm having the same problem, and tried what you suggested but it didn't work. I don't know what else to do. Could you help me, please?
Thanks!
Hey @Turningintostone,
Thanks for posting in the thread!
Just to confirm, does the same thing happen if you're using a different internet connection? You can try opening the account page in another browser as well.
Should the issue persist, we recommend getting in touch with our Customer Support team, as they have the best tools to help out in this case.
Let us know how it works out.
I was haing the same issue. Only after disconnecting from my VPN was I able to update my email address in Account > Edit Profile. If you're connected to a VPN, try this.
I hope this helps! 🙂
For your protection we are unable to process your request at the moment. Please try again later.
My most used spotify account is on my old email and I have tried to change the email to my newer one but it won’t work. It just says there’s an error with the server and to try again later, which I’ve done, and it says the same thing again.
I've tried safari (incognito and non-incognito), chrome (incognito and non-incognito), and also mobile app. Nothing works. I cannot change my email address and I get the same error as the above. Can we please get some help?
Hi @haikalpribadi,
Thanks for reaching out. Consider trying to change the address on different devices and on different networks. This will rule out any such issues that may be causing the error.
Hope this helps.
This isnt working for me. It was blocking on my computer, even in incognito mode. Tried different browsers as well.
Also tried on my mobile using mobile data so that IP Address is different. Still not working.
Why would there even be a suggestion that on different network it may work? Would spotify block changes for your home network?
Ah, I now see in browser devtools that I get the following error:
html 400 error: strict-origin-when-cross-origin
Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://geolocation.onetrust.com/cookieconsentpub/v1/geo/location. (Reason: CORS request did not succeed).
In hindsight, it looks like this error happens earlier on the site and not when I submit the change of email.
Hi @ceauke,
Thanks for the reply. The reason for trying on different networks as there may be various settings and restrictions on specific networks, firewalls, block lists and such, that may be blocking the communication with the Spotify services. Since you mentioned that it also happens on mobile, then the network itself is likely not the issue in your case. VPNs are known to cause issues too and several users earlier in this thread have confirmed that turning off VPNs fixed the issue. If you have one on any of your devices, disable it and then try again.
Hope this helps.
Hey @ceauke,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop!
That's great to hear - happy that you're back on track again.
Should anything else appear, we're just a post away.
Cheers 🙂
I am having the same issue. I have chatted with Spotify numerous times and they told me I had to wait 2 weeks to use the new email address and I would receive an email from them telling me I can now change it. I received the email from them today and I still can’t change it. I am receiving the same error message as above. This has wasted so much of my time and Spotify agents are useless. Has anyone been successful in changing emails and how?
That is not working for me.
Hey folks,
@Debra21, thank you for getting in in touch, did you request a password reset link and received it 14 days later? You would need to wait 14 days in order to use an email that was released from a recently closed account. Did you get in contact with Support in order to manage information on multiple accounts and change emails on them? Please let us know in detail so we can help out.
@shawescape313, welcome to the Community, thanks for reaching out. Have any of the steps provided by previous mods not helped. Please let us know what you have tried so we don't repeat ourselves.
We'll be on the lookout.
The solution that worked for me was updating the desktop version on my pc and then logging into it once it updated, and it somehow fixed the issue of not being able to change the email. This solved it for me,
This is ridiculous. They need to fix whatever it is that they've done wrong.
