My Question or Issue

Good morning,

 

I have moved to Ireland about 3 years ago but kept my account based in France since I haven't opened a bank account here. However, the country which my account is based upon depends on the country code of my account.

 

I have recently moved houses and they have a Spotify family account which they offered me to join, but first I need to switch countries which I can't do since my bank details do not match the Ireland requirements. Is there a way to go around it for me to join the account with my current Spotify details?

 

Also, once I join the family account, is there a way to transfer all my music data to this new account?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!

 

When you join a Family plan you do so with your own account, so no worries, you won't lose any of your content as the account will be the same.

 

If you're joining a Family plan as a member, you just need to cancel your current subscription. Once your account is reverted to the free service, you'll be able to change your account's country settings to the country you're currently living in by following these steps. When you're on free, the change will be made immediately and you'll be able to accept the invite to the plan right away.
