Background 
I have had a USA spotify account from 2012.

I moved to Canada in 2013, only am i now(2016) changing my subscription to be paid in CAD.


I was unsucessful at changing my billing country to Canada and to also use a Canadian Credit Card. The error message had something to do with Spotify not being offered in this Country.

 

I then went to subscribe to a family plan to add a partner, at this point my Canadian credit card was accepted. I can see that I will be billed in CAD.

 

The problem is that my profile still shows US and I cannot add my partner because new accounts are Canada. I also cannot change my country in the Edit Profile page as it already shows Canada (and is greyed out)

That's a rather unusual technical glitch there! If you're in Canada then most likely your IP address will be Canadian (You can check here), and if you're also paying with a Canadian card then your account should understand that you are based in Canada. If you set up your account outside of Spotify with Facebook, for example, you may have to change it there. If you've recently made the change try logging out of your account and back in to see if that helps make the change.

 

In case that isn't the issue and it hasn't fixed the problem then I'd suggest reaching out to Spotify Cares through this contact form, their facebook or twitter. They should be able to change it.

@Bearfootrecords, thanks for the suggestions.
I've tried logging out and back in, and also attempted to change country
setting in facebook (but i don't see such a setting).
The stranger detail that i didn't notice until now is that the Profile
Summary shows postal code (rather than zipcode) for US

I'm up for any other suggestions but resigned to wait out until the next
billing cycle and see if it persists.
