E-mail address already in use?

Today, while overviewing my Spotify Account settings, I noticed my account has been using a "fake" e-mail address that I probably used a very long time ago to set up my account for test purposes. So I decided to change my e-mail address to my real one, but found out it says its already in use. So I wonder if I have another account set up with the e-mail, I try to recover it but get a message that the email account is associated with my Facebook account. I disconnect my account from my Facebook. Going back to account settings, I still get a message the email address is already in use. 


What else can I try here?

My suggestion would be for you to use a different email address from the one you use for facebook (past or present). Logging in with facebook details always creates this kind of error messages, which are avoided by having your own spotify credentials.
