Email address already being used

Email address already being used

So, I tried to register with my main email account but I received an error that the email address already being used. No problem, I might had registered in the past and forgot about it. I can always reset the old password and reclaim my old account. But when I got into the password reset submission form, I received another error that the account associated with the email address is not active.

So now I had to use my backup email address to register so I can ask here what are my next course of actions. I would prefer to use my main email address.
