Email already in use - but no account exists with that email

Email already in use - but no account exists with that email

Hi

 

I created my account a long time ago with an old email. Now I want to change the email to my gmail but Spotify says that the email is already in use. So when I try to recover my password for that email I got the message that no active account exists with that email.

 

What should I do to be able to change my mail to my current? Note that I use the new email in my facebook account, which is accessiable from my Spotify account (registred with old mail).

It will be because there is an account registered with that email, even if its login details have made it inaccessible. If you could get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form they will be able to remove it for you.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
