Email confusion

Hey.

I have an issue. I received an email today from Spotify to my email account that is not connected to Spotify. To my amazement I notice that the email address (where the message was supposed to be sent) was really similar to mine (only one dot less) and someone has a Spotify account connected to that email. Now those Spotify emails from someone else's account come to my email and I can't reply to the other user via email because the email is so close to mine the email operator doesn't recognize it is not my email and will send it to my own email anyway. This might cause an issue if the other person wants to for example change their password or something like that because the confirmation emails will come to my email box. 

What can I do?
