Facebook Login Issue

So today, Spotify decided to do some weird things:

Opened Spotify on iPhone 5, my account was logged out and asked me to login.

I use Facebook login as usual

Spotify tells me I have 48 hours free trial, and that all of my music/playlists/settings are gone

I disconnected facebook connection to spotify, logged out, deleted the app

Reinstall app from app store

Login to Spotify using Facebook, same issue. No music or playlists associated with my Facebook login.

I disconnect facebook and logout of Spotify on iPhone. I load up Spotify desktop on my Macbook and it prompts me to login with Facebook, I do and there's the same issue with no playlists or saved info, it thinks I'm a new user.

OK here's the point: I can login to Spotify with my "existing Spotify account" and it has all of my playlists/info. I can then "connect to facebook", but it doesn't update my username from my Spotify username to my Facebook name.

The issue is that my Spotify account will not let me use the same email address that I use for login on Facebook as my Spotify username email address. I want ONE account so I can get premium with the music/playlists/info from my Spotify account and use my Facebook name and email address. Randomly started happening today that my music is no longer associated with my Facbeook account.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

It sounds like you might have accidentally created and logged into a duplicate account using your Facebook. 

Try following the steps outlined in this post and see if they can get you back into your original account, since it sounds like your Facebook details have somehow become detached from your Spotify username account.

If not, there is a link in that post to get in touch with the Spotify team directly and they will be able to help you recover your account directly.

If you can't connect to facebook successfully, I suggest you submit an online contact form; and someone at Spotify can look into it for you.

If you get an automated reply; make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply); and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.

Hey thanks for the reply, I checked out that guide when I searched for the issue and it didn't resolve my problem which seems to be a duplicate, empty facebook-based account.

I just can't figure out how my Spotify username and Facebook account became disassociated.

I used the contact form link provided, thank you.

[EDIT] So Spotify desktop is now changing my username in the top right corner next to the profile picture from my Spotify username to my Facebook name, but when I right click and select profile, it displays my Spotify username. Weird.

mtetsuor - This sounds a little strange. We can't see exactly what's going on, so we'll need to take a few details before we can get it sorted. If you could email in here, we'll be able to work our magic.
